Submitting Trailing Stop Orders

Trailing Stop orders not tied to a strategy can be submitted from the Trading menu by clicking the up-down arrow icon at the top of the screen. In this menu, choose either Trailing Stop (Market) or Trailing Stop Limit before submitting the order to your account.

Once submitted, Trailing Stop orders will follow the market price tick-for-tick as it moves in your favor, but will hold their position if the market begins to move against you.

Trailing Stop Strategies

To use a Trailing Stop as part of an exit strategy for an open position, select Trailing Stop (Market) or Trailing Stop Limit from the ATM Strategy configuration menu within the Chart, SuperDOM, or Advanced section of the Trading module.

ATM Strategies also support Auto Breakeven and Auto Trail stops, which begin adjusting only after reaching predefined trigger levels. Unlike standard Trailing Stops that move tick-for-tick with favorable market movement, Auto Trail stops can be customized with specific frequencies, allowing them to trail the market at set intervals instead of every tick.

To learn more about how to configure and trade with ATM Strategies, please visit this page: ATM Strategies

Additional Notes

  1. At this time, it is not possible to adjust the frequency of non-ATM Strategy Trailing Stop orders in the KGI Crusoe platform. All non-ATM Strategy Trailing Stop orders will trail the market tick for tick.
