Creating Drawings on Your Charts
To add a new drawing to your Chart, follow the steps below:
Step 1
Hover your cursor over the Chart to reveal the toolbars in the upper-left corner. Click the Drawing Tools icon, which is the second icon from the bottom.

Step 2
In the menu that appears, left-click once on the type of Drawing Tool you'd like to add to your Chart to select it.

Step 3
After selecting your Drawing Tool, left-click once on the chart to start the drawing at a specific location, then left-click again in another spot to complete it. Avoid clicking and dragging when starting a drawing, as this will move the chart instead of placing the object.
For drawing tools that let you place multiple points, such as Polygons or Multi-sided shapes, you can finish the drawing by pressing the Esc key on your keyboard.
To move a drawing you've created, click and drag the anchor points that appear when the drawing is highlighted to reposition it on the chart.

Measuring Tool Tip
Hold the Shift key while drawing an object on your chart to display plot details for each anchor point, including Price (Y-axis), Timestamp (X-axis), and Delta (distance in Points, Ticks, and potential P&L).
This is a helpful way to use tools like Lines or Rectangles as a ruler or measuring tool on your charts.

Customizing Drawing Objects
To customize an existing Drawing Object on your chart, simply double-click it to open the Properties window. From there, you can adjust, if applicable, the object's:
Line Style, including Color and Thickness
Anchor point location (price and timestamp)
Labels
Levels

After adjusting an object's properties, click Save to apply and retain the changes. To automatically use these custom settings for future instances of the same drawing tool, enable Save As Default in its Properties window.
Please note that drawing objects are saved within each Workspace and are tied to the specific contract selected in your charts. Drawing objects cannot be transferred between different Workspaces.
If you open the same contract in a new chart module within the same Workspace, the existing drawing objects will not automatically appear unless they are linked. To learn more about syncing drawing objects and modifications across multiple Chart modules, please visit this page: Synchronizing Drawing Tools
Duplicating, Locking, & Removing Drawing Objects
Duplicating Drawing Objects
To duplicate a specific drawing on your chart:
On Windows: Hold the Ctrl key and double-click the drawing.
On Mac: Hold the Command key and double-click the drawing.
This will create a copy of the drawing, which you can then reposition as needed.
Locking Drawing Objects
To prevent your drawings from being edited or deleted, select "Lock Drawings" from the Drawing Tools menu on the left side of the chart. This will lock all drawings until they are manually unlocked.
Removing Drawing Objects
Selecting "Hide Drawings" from the Drawing Tools menu will temporarily make all drawings on the chart invisible without deleting them.
To delete drawing objects, open the object's Properties window and click "Remove" to delete it individually. To delete all drawings at once, use "Remove All" from any object's Properties window or select "Remove All Drawing Objects" from the Drawing Tools menu. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
